Raise an Anomaly Merge Machine: Input Rules and Results
Use the Raise an Anomaly Merge Machine safely: duplicates only, never your only anomaly, and every merge is permanent. Recipes, outputs, and costs stay unpublished.
Quick answer
Merge duplicates only and never your only anomaly: the Merge Machine consumes what you merge permanently, and no recipe, output, or cost is published yet.
- Find it with the other lab machines — Treadmill, Luck, Plot, Toy Roller, Merge — in the containment room
- Announced as a new lab machine on 16 September 2026, alongside a new code (1 Fairy Cake) and the Fairy Cake food
- Keep at least one paying anomaly on the plot whenever you merge
What the Merge Machine is and where it sits
The Merge Machine is a lab machine that combines anomalies; the lab reference lists it as "Merge Machine | Combine anomalies". It was announced as a new lab machine on 16 September 2026 in the developer group shout, in the same batch as a new code (1 Fairy Cake), the new Fairy Cake food, and a new zone — that is an announcement date, not a level or unlock requirement. It sits with the other machines in the lab containment room, the tycoon-plot room with the baby anomaly, food crates, and cash collection. Guides currently label it inconsistently: the group shout calls it a new lab machine, while the beginner guide groups Merge with "community machines" (treadmill, Luck, Plot, Toy Roller, Merge) that "live in this room." If the classification matters for your setup, check the machine row in the containment room in-game.
What can be merged: the safe-input rules
The input rules players currently merge by come from community event guidance, not official developer documentation:
Tips
Duplicates only
The event prep list tags the machine "Merge Machine | Duplicates only" — merge spare copies of anomalies you already own and keep your working roster out of it.
Never your only anomaly
Do not dump your only anomaly into Merge. Recipes are unpublished, so nothing guarantees a replacement.
Keep an earner running
Keep at least one paying anomaly on the plot when you try Merge so cash keeps printing while you experiment.
Merge results and rules
The one documented result rule is permanence: anomalies you merge away stay gone, so the machine consumes its inputs and they do not come back. What a merge produces is not published — merge recipes are explicitly listed as unpublished, alongside hatch odds and food XP. Costs are unpublished too: the lab machine table leaves the Merge Machine's cost blank. Under those rules, a correct merge is one that spends only duplicate anomalies while at least one earner keeps printing cash; there is no published output to aim for.
Events: the economy snaps back, merges do not
Temporary events change the economy without undoing merges. When the 19 September 2026 Admin Abuse window ended, economy values snapped back while anomalies merged away stayed gone. That asymmetry is the trap the event guidance warns about: do not Merge your only earner because replacements look cheap for ten minutes — discounted replacements during the event hour do not restore what the Merge Machine consumed.
Events are also the moments when unpublished details surface. The event guidance asks players to screenshot any Merge, Food, or Speed panel they have never seen, because those captures are how recipe and output details eventually get documented. If a merge panel you have never seen appears during an event, screenshot it before committing anything you cannot afford to lose.
With no published recipe, output, or cost, the safe pattern stays the same every time you approach the machine: bring duplicates, keep at least one paying anomaly on the plot, and treat every merge as permanent before you confirm it.
