Raise an Anomaly Food Shop: Location, Stock, and What It Sells
Find the Food Shop in Raise an Anomaly, learn how its stock and restocks behave, see the foods sold there with dated session prices, and get buying priorities plus an out-of-stock playbook. Covers buying and stock only, not food effects.
Quick answer
The Food Shop is a place in the game world: walk to it when food runs low, or open it from the menu gameplay footage calls the index. Check its current stock, buy what is available, carry the food back, and use it on the resident you want to level.
- A particular item can be unavailable during your session — the shop runs on a stock system with visible availability, so check before planning a feed.
- Sessions open the shop differently: some players walk to it mid-run to buy more burgers, others open it from the index early and buy food right before feeding a placed anomaly.
How Food Shop stock works
The shop shows visible stock availability, and the item you want can simply be gone. One session makes the point bluntly: a player looking for soup finds the shelf empty, realizes there is a stock system, and keeps running into empty shelves afterward. In another session, a sold-out item showed a short countdown — "restocking in 5 seconds" — and came back quickly enough for the player to buy four tentacle pizzas moments later. Treat that countdown as a single observed restock, not a fixed timer: restock cadence varies between sessions, so do not build a schedule around it. The same footage has a player announcing "I'm going to force the restock" right before a shelf refills, but a force-restock button has not been confirmed — that phrasing described the player's intent, not a documented control.
Because stock shifts between checks, the practical rule is: buy a usable alternative, or spend the interval training instead of waiting beside the shelves.
What the Food Shop sells
The lineup is session-dependent — the current guidance is to buy whatever the in-game Food Shop actually sells that session, and even the fuller food list warns that it is not necessarily a complete catalog. The table below collects the names confirmed so far, where each is confirmed, and dated session price observations. Prices are single-session observations, not fixed values; avoid building your budget around numbers copied from another server, and recheck live stock before you buy.
Comparison
| Food | Where The Name Is Confirmed | Session Price Observations | XP / Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Steak | Official media artwork only; the store page does not name it as a shop SKU | — | Not a confirmed SKU |
| Fairy Cake | Group shout + code reward (16 September 2026) | 10 bought for 240 Robux in one session | Not yet observed |
| Burgers, pizza, sandwiches | Community wiki; listed as available shop items by the food guide | Pizza $100 in an early-session video | Not yet observed |
| Eyeball Soup | Community wiki / rumoured clip; listed by the food guide | $10,000 in two video sessions | Not yet observed |
| Spider pie | Video session (out of stock at the time) | — | Not yet observed |
| Tentacle pizza | Video session; four bought right after a restock | — | Not yet observed |
| Alien burger | Video session; most expensive item the player could afford late-run | — | Not yet observed |
| Swamp soup | Video session, late game | About $100,000 (the item name is hard to make out in the footage — treat as one approximate observation) | Not yet observed |
Fairy Cake: the newest named food
Fairy Cake is the one food named in an official-adjacent announcement. On 16 September 2026 the group announced "New Food Fairy Cake" together with a new code worth 1 Fairy Cake, and as of 16 September 2026 that was the only active code — verify it still works in-game before relying on it. There is no XP value for Fairy Cake yet, so do not assume it is the best item in the shop just because it is new.
Separately, one gameplay session shows fairy cakes being bought with Robux ("We're going to buy 10 of these. 240 Robux for the fairy cake"). That session does not show whether the Robux purchase was a shop line or a separate offer, so check both the shop shelves and the store in-game to see how Fairy Cake is currently sold.
X2 FOOD STOCK gamepass status
X2 FOOD STOCK is a gamepass whose blurb reads "Permanently get 2x food stock!" In the 16 September 2026 store snapshot it was marked not for sale, so check its current listing before counting on it — availability can change. Note that doubling stock is a convenience, not a fix: empty food stock still stalls levels even if cash is scooped instantly. Until the pass returns to sale, stock management stays manual.
Buying priorities and purchase checks
The core purchase flow: visit the food shop, buy something affordable, and feed one placed anomaly. Then look at its level and cash output before buying more.
For a new lab, buy food that leaves enough cash for the next essential action. If feeding one resident prevents you from upgrading a painfully slow treadmill, split the budget. If speed is already comfortable and a strong earner is underleveled, feeding can be the better investment. Ignore the fanciest item name — what matters is how the food on the shelf affects the resident in front of you.
Practice restock-first discipline: spend on whatever you can restock, because an empty stock stalls the whole plot. Feed the anomaly that is already on the plot before you steal a second egg — a fed baby is income, an unfed baby is a decoration. If a premium-looking food is unaffordable or out of stock, keep earning and use a cheaper available item instead of freezing your entire route.

When the food you want is out of stock
When a food is unavailable, do not wait beside the shop. Run the gap playbook instead:
Tips
Train toward your next egg
Spend the wait on the treadmill, working toward your next guarded egg.
Collect income
Gather cash from your placed residents while the shelf is empty.
Hatch a waiting egg
If an egg is already waiting at the plot, hatch it.
Buy an available alternative
Pick another affordable food that is currently in stock.
Plan the next feed
Review which resident deserves the next item you buy.
An empty shelf does not have to stop the session. Keep the cash, do another job, and return later instead of waiting in the shop for an item you cannot buy. To prevent the gap entirely, buy food before you go on a long steal — otherwise the plot idles while you are gone.
